Teacher Previews & Professional Development

From time to time the Art Gallery of Western Australia arranges special Teacher Previews of our exhibitions and other events. Teacher Previews are held at the Gallery, unless otherwise stated.

Primary Teachers’ Visual Arts Responses Professional Learning Day

Are you a primary classroom teacher or beginning primary visual arts specialist looking for ways to connect art making with art responding in your art classes?

Discover a number of creative ways primary students can respond to the visual arts by engaging them with real artworks from AGWA’s State Art Collection.

Primary generalist teachers and beginning primary visual arts specialist teachers are invited to join AGWA’s Education Team and Primary visual arts specialist Ana Nail for this one day workshop. The workshop will examine, in detail, the Arts Responses outcome as it pertains to the visual arts component of The Arts curriculum. You will learn how to use simplified analysis frameworks and other tools to structure learning and develop your young students' sound visual language and visual arts passion.

Where: Art Gallery of WA

Date: Monday 20 July 2015

Time: 9am-3.30pm
