Western Australian Indigenous Art Awards 2010 31 July 2010 - 3 January 2011 A national art award founded in 2008 to celebrate the diversity and richness of Indigenous art from across the country. Indigenous artists were nominated by their peers for the prestigious award and finalists chosen by a selection panel. The awards acknowledge the significant contribution Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists make to Australian art and culture. |

17 - 19 September 2010 Art in Bloom, organised by the Friends of the Art Gallery of Western Australia. Thousands of flowers and plants filled the Gallery as artists, designers, media personalities, students and others created floral responses to over 120 exhibited works of art, this year reflecting the works from the State Art Collection displays. |
