The Art Gallery of Western Australia Foundation is a tax-deductible gift recipient under the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
Gifts may be directed to the following areas:
• Historical Art
• Contemporary Art
• Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art
• Education and Public Programs
• Wherever the need is greatest
Donations of $2.00 or more are tax deductible. Gifts of works of art are also tax deductible under the Federal Government's Cultural Gifts Program.
A bequest is a special way for you to make a significant and lasting contribution to your State Art Gallery.
We understand that writing your Will is an extremely personal matter, and naturally, some people will prefer not to discuss it with those outside of their immediate family.
Bequests can take the form of:
• The residue of your estate (after taking care of your family and other gifts and costs)
• A percentage of the residue
• A set amount of funds as a gift
• A specific asset such as a work of art, shares or real estate.
We encourage donors to seek professional advice from a solicitor or financial adviser when planning a bequest.
We would like to be able to acknowledge our supporters who confirm their intention to leave a bequest to AGWA. In this way we can appropriately recognise your generosity, ensure we fully understand your motivations and intentions and provide a unique opportunity to develop a closer relationship with AGWA in your lifetime. We therefore encourage you to please advise us of your bequest by contacting our Foundation Office.
If you have already made a Will and you wish to leave a gift, you may be able to make a simple change by adding a codicil, which includes the Art Gallery of Western Australia as a beneficiary.
If you would like to discuss the possibility of leaving a bequest to AGWA, please contact our Foundation Office via email email@example.com or call +61 8 9492 6685.
Please be assured that all enquiries will be treated with complete confidentiality.
