Cultural Awareness Workshop with Ron Bradfield Jnr.

Cultural Awareness Workshop with Ron Bradfield Jnr.

Come and Make Our Story, Your Story.

Educators are invited to join artist and storyteller Ron Bradfield Jnr. to explore the importance of personal storytelling, and how this creates bridges for understanding Aboriginal culture and knowledges.

Through a process of recognising and sharing histories, memories and milestones, Ron will support educators to explore identity through personal stories, and rich lives lived on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar.

The rules are simple:
No shame.
No blame.
No guilt.
No judgement.

This Professional Learning workshop is a safe space for exploring strategies that support the integration of Aboriginal knowledges and practices in your classrooms. It will include an open opportunity to ask Ron questions.

Sessions available:
2-4.30pm Friday 17 March 2023
11am-1.30pm Saturday 17 June 2023

ALL of our stories matter! WHO we are in our stories, matters! Understanding our stories helps us understand our own cultural depth and diversity. Coming to terms with our own lives and histories helps us recognise others for who they are, in theirs?

On Saturday 27 August, the Gallery is open 10am-3pm only as we prepare for the AGWA Foundation Gala supporting women in the arts. Some exhibition access will be disrupted with two Tracks We Share ground floor galleries closed. AGWA Rooftop bar will be closed, reopening at 2pm Sunday. Details
