Indigenous Art of Australia and the Torres Strait.
Indigenous art is said to be Australia's greatest cultural gift to the world. It is part of the continuum of ceremonial practice, a connection with traditional lands and with ancestral beliefs.
Indigenous art is strikingly beautiful. But it can also tell of a history of sorrow, dislocation and discrimination.
This guided tour gives an insight into traditional Australian Aboriginal art, art of the Torres Strait and contemporary Indigenous social and political statements.
