A landmark Kimberley exhibition to launch AGWA's 2019 program

A striking new work from renowned artist Daniel Walbidi has been revealed as the first of eight commissions created as part of the Art Gallery of WA's expansive Aboriginal art exhibition Desert River Sea: Portraits of the Kimberley. Walbidi’s work will form part of this significant and wide-ranging exposition of Kimberley art, presented as part of the Perth Festival from 9 February 2019.

On Saturday 27 August, the Gallery is open 10am-3pm only as we prepare for the AGWA Foundation Gala supporting women in the arts. Some exhibition access will be disrupted with two Tracks We Share ground floor galleries closed. AGWA Rooftop bar will be closed, reopening at 2pm Sunday. Details
