WA to host world-first Heath Ledger exhibition

The Western Australian Museum and the Art Gallery of Western Australia, in conjunction with Heath Ledger's family, will present an exceptional exhibition celebrating the life and work of the Perth-born actor, to open in 2017. Announcing the much-anticipated exhibition today, Culture and the Arts Minister John Day said it would showcase the extraordinary talent of Ledger as an actor, his aspirations as a director and provide a window into his early life growing up in Perth.

On Saturday 27 August, the Gallery is open 10am-3pm only as we prepare for the AGWA Foundation Gala supporting women in the arts. Some exhibition access will be disrupted with two Tracks We Share ground floor galleries closed. AGWA Rooftop bar will be closed, reopening at 2pm Sunday. Details
