AGWA’s Desert River Sea: Kimberley Art Then & Now received a 2016 Museums and Galleries National Awards (MAGNA) in the Indigenous Project or Keeping Place category at last night’s Awards. Desert River Sea: Kimberley Art Then and Now is a ground-breaking six year visual arts initiative developed by the Art Gallery of Western Australia with the support of Rio Tinto.
