Fremantle artist Rachel Coad has won the prestigious $50,000 Lester Group Prize for her portrait of artist Waldemar Kolbusz, titled Indian Summer, in the 2016 Black Swan Prize for Portraiture. The inaugural $10,000 Tony Fini Foundation Artist Prize was awarded to Mark Tweedie, after the 40 finalists voted for their favourite portrait.
