Connect with a like-minded community, contribute to the future of your State Art Collection and enjoy year-round access with AGWA’s Next Collective.

As part of the Next Collective, you will join a passionate group of art enthusiasts who play a crucial role in shaping the future of one of Australia’s leading arts institutions. You will gain unparalleled access to AGWA’s Director and curatorial team, learn firsthand about acquiring work for the State Art Collection and receive invitations to exclusive events that take you behind the scenes of world-class exhibitions.

‘Next Up’ Pitch Night

Each year, our donors are invited to an exclusive event where AGWA curators pitch a selection of artworks they believe should be acquired by AGWA and added to the State Art Collection. Donors then have the unique opportunity to vote collectively on their preferred acquisition.

Acknowledgement and thanks

Next Collective donors are publicly acknowledged on AGWA’s website, on the Gallery foyer honour board, Annual Report and AGWA Foundation Impact Report.

The Next Collective donor group is acknowledged for acquisitions made with their support, on the work’s credit line, when the artwork is on display and wherever the image of that work is reproduced.

Donors may choose to give anonymously.

Supporting AGWA, the State Art Gallery, and the important cultural role it plays in WA aligns with my personal values of supporting the arts and its vital contribution to societal health and wellbeing. In addition, the opportunities for connection, contribution, networking, and behind-the-scenes art experiences that being a Next Collective member offers, have been priceless.
