Professional Learning | Drawing Breath for Primary Educators

Join Head of Learning and Creativity Research, Lilly Blue in a participatory workshop exploring contemplative creative practices, art games and Aesthetic Learning methodologies.

Participants will:
• Learn simple and fun creative drawing games to heighten presence and attention
• Practice mindfulness activities connected to the elements and principles of art
• Explore strategies for transforming the classroom into a contemplative studio space
• Gain experience in facilitating open-ended, inclusive and participatory conversations
• Practice non-linear, playful and poetic forms of enquiry
• Engage with the thinking of educator and philosopher Maxine Greene and her theory of Wide-awakeness
