ACTIVITIES

Guided Tours | FREE
11am, 12pm, 1pm & 2pm, Sat 21, Sun 22, Sat 28 & Sun 29 November
There is nothing like a personal interaction to spark the imagination. Explore some of the works on display from the State Art Collection with one of our Voluntary Gallery Guides, offering that extra insight and revealing glimpse into the artwork, the era and the artist.

Long Table Discussion | FREE
12-2pm, Sat 21 November
Join a special Long Table discussion presented as part of the I want a future that lives up to my past: David McDiarmid and local queer stories display for PrideFEST. The discussion format borrows from the idea of a dinner table as a way of generating public conversation. The Long Table allows voices to be heard equally and invites members of the public to join in. Focusing on epidemics, hardships, community, strength and survival of the local queer community, the invited panellists will discuss the context of 1980s and 1990s Perth and what we can take with us into today.

Kindling Creative | $10
10am-3pm, Sat 28 and Sun 29 November
Telling, listening to and sharing stories brings us together. A message stick, or boorna wangkiny. A mandala. Hieroglyphs. Story stones. Hand-crafted books and parchment. Stories are ancient, present and new all at once. Join Kindling Creative for screen printing fun outside the Art Gallery of WA main entrance to print your story. Learn more about the activity here.

On Saturday 27 August, the Gallery is open 10am-3pm only as we prepare for the AGWA Foundation Gala supporting women in the arts. Some exhibition access will be disrupted with two Tracks We Share ground floor galleries closed. AGWA Rooftop bar will be closed, reopening at 2pm Sunday. Details
